Three weeks before News Years, Adam and I were called to plan and do the New Years Eve dance for 14 stakes in our area. Having only a few weeks, we jumped in head first! We were able to do as much as possible before the week of Christmas so that we could just enjoy that time with our family but the week after Christmas was dance, dance, dance. Every minute of everyday it seemed we were focused on the planning of the dance. We were so glad when the day came and went without a hitch. It went sooo well and we received a lot of compliments. It felt good and it was a lot of fun to spend that time with Adam. He took a lot of time off that week from work and we used it to run errands, build things, plan and pull it off.
Invitation (made by one of the members of the youth committee) that went out to all the stakes.
The building of the balloon arch. This was a joint effort. Could not have done it without Andrea Flowers and Ryan and Jenni Cain.
Let the set up begin...Adam and I Set up for a couple hours Friday night rearranging rooms and moving couches and deciding which activities would go in which room. Saturday morning all the action happened. We were at the stake center All day minus a couple hours to run a few last minute errands and to shower and run back.

Everyone room was busy all night....
especially the dance floor. We figured we had around 800 youth there that night. The party went from 9:30-11:45 when we pulled all the youth into the gym for the final countdown and balloon drop. With fingers crossed Adam and Ryan pulled the string and balloons rained down on the crowd. It was Awesome. They were then directed to the heritage building for breakfast from 11:45-12:30am. As soon as they were at breakfast clean-up began. Like a million tiny ants people came together and that entire church was put back together, garbage's taken out, decorations taken down, furniture put back, game tables loaded on trailers and floors vacuumed and mopped in 2 hours. We thought we'd be there all night and we were home in bed by 3:00am. Such a GREAT night!
