WDW Day 2 - Resort Hopping and Disney Springs

Day 2- Sunday, September 6, 2026 - Resort Hopping & Disney Springs

Being a Sunday, we had a “rest day.” We woke up and got ready for the day and while Calli and Levi finished up, Adam and I took Liam to the main hall again for a Character meet & greet. We were so surprised when the characters were Mickey, Minnie & Donald. We just happened to be in the right place when they walked in and Minnie came straight to Liam and spent about 5 minutes with him. He loved her. She played peek a boo and he held her hand. He then saw Donald and got pictures with him too. It was so awesome, they had photographers there taking pictures. We had bought the photo package, so that was awesome to get professional pics. Mickey had a swarm of kids around him, so we opted out of meeting Mickey. While we were still waiting for the others, Levi, Calli, Liam, Adam and I went to explore the Pop Century Resort. So so cute! After, we met the rest of the crew as they were finishing up breakfast and hit the ground running. Our goal was to hit as many “Disney Transportations”  as possible before heading to Disney Springs. We jumped on the SKYLINER right there at our resort…so nice. We rode it to Hollywood Studios, where we then got on a SHUTTLE/BUS to Magic Kingdom. Here we got on the express MONORAIL and did the monorail loop back to Magic Kingdom. Then we took a shuttle to Port of Orleans Resort where we stopped for Beignets and more refills. Oh my gosh, they were so good. At Port Orleans we took the BOATS to Disney Springs. Check! We hit them all. Disney Worlds transportation is insane. They definitely win in the transportation area above Disneyland. It was so convenient and so easy to use.

We spent the rest of our time at Disney Springs shopping and eating. Calli found Liam’s first pair of ears and got them embroidered. I got a couple ornaments at the Christmas store, a sweatshirt and some bath toys for Liam. Disney Springs is massive, they have so many shops and restaurants. You definitely need an entire day just for Disney Springs. I liked Disney Springs better than Downtown Disney, but love the convenience of walking to Downtown. Liam was getting hot and tired so while Levi and Ada took him to Guest Relations (they were so sweet and even gave them a private room) Calli and I ran to do more shopping. We then ate at a yummy pizza place before heading back to the resort.

"My first Disney Trip"
He loved his stroller. He was hooked up with a cooling mat, toys and fan.
Zonked before we even got off the elevator.
Walking to Pop Century

So cute. We originally had reservations here but I switched to Art for the suites. SO happy with our decision. Pop is darling but there's just no comparison to the Disney atmosphere at Art.

Meeting Minnie Mouse!

That side look Haha!

Awe! So precious

Donald Duck!

Stopped here just for the beignets

Ghoulish Beignet

Boat on the Bayou to Disney Springs. Lia got a little overstimulated on the boat ride and cried the last 5 minutes. We were anxious to get off.

Rain Forest Cafe at Disney Springs

Lego Store

Chilling in Guest Relations! He was so happy!
Loving his bath toys.

Back at the resort, we were greeted by amazing skies.
I loved that everyone would end up in our room throughout the trip.
