WDW DAY 5 - Rest Day

Day 5, Wednesday, September 9, 2026 - Rest Day

Liam was still not feeling well and woke up with a temperature of 103. We decided to use Disney’s medical plan and have a doctor come to our room to check him out. Disney is so good at being accommodating. It wasn’t cheap, haha but it was nice to have the option of not taking him in and sitting in a waiting room.

The doctor came and checked him out and ran a couple tests (flu A, Flu B and Covid) Liam had the flu. Poor baby. His first flu and it’s at Disney. But we were happy to have a rest day. Liam was still eating good, fairly happy and having wet diapers so we just needed to get the fever to break. We alternated pain relievers and just let him rest, which wasn’t a four person job haha, so we decided to take turns and go back to Disney Springs for some shopping. This was one of my favorite days. Adam and I headed out first. We got there and went to World of Disney and shopped, shopped, shopped. We each bought a couple shirts, a hat, some stickers, keychains, a stuffed animal for Liam, an outfit for Liam, and some pins. We then took the stuffed animal and had it embroidered with his name. While waiting for that, we went and had a silhouette cut from a picture of Liam and Koda. This is something Calli wanted to do at Magic Kingdom but didn’t get the chance, so we just got it done for her. While waiting for those two things we grabbed some lunch. While eating Sadie, Nick, Gentry and Carter came. We walked and hung out with them a bit until going to Ghirardelli to get a Mickey Ice cream sundae. After our ice cream break and picking up the silhouettes and stuffed animal, we went to Disney Relations where they refunded us for the four of us that was unable to attend the Halloween Party, so so nice of them, then we put that money towards an extra day at Magic Kingdom for everyone on Saturday before we flew out at 3:00pm and also helped me switch all of our lightening days so Adam and I could go with the crew to Epcot while Calli and Levi stayed with Liam and then switch and then they could go with the crew the next morning to Hollywood Studios and then switch with us. They were fantastic to work with and so accommodating.  It was such a fun and relaxing day spent at Disney Springs. We made it back with plenty of time for Calli and Levi to go to Disney Springs. They ate dinner, shopped and met up with Sadie and crew. Fun was had by all. Haha!

The only good thing about him not feeling well, was he was extra cuddly. Went for a walk around the resort and played with bubbles. 

All tuckered out!

He was so happy (and so were we) when his mom came back after a full, fun and successful day!
