Red Mountain Family Hike

Saturday, December 26th we decided to hike the Red Mountain. Austin was playing golf with his family and couldn't make it but the rest of us conquered that big red hill.

Notice how most of the pics are from behind, ya I was bringing up the rear for most of the hike. But for the kids all being beasts and in major good shape, Adam and I did really well keeping up with them.
The Ivins Star.

Lots of pits stops along the way for some dancing.

We made it to the sugar bowl in record time and took a minute to rest and take in the view.

Heading to the top.

We made it! The traditional picture with this dead tree growing out of the rock. Same one Adam used to camp by as a kid.

Looking down the crack. Always makes me so nervous.

Clinging on for dear life...Haha!
More dancing!
Calli found a bowl to hang out in!
Adam brought his drone to fly and capture pictures and video.

Mati
Gentry and Sadie joined Calli in her Bowl.
Mati waving at the drone.

Adam and the drone got some GREAT shots.
Us dancing, eating and hanging out on top of the world.

The girls in their bowl from the drone.

My Heart!
More Dancing!
More Flying!
More Exploring!

Heading back down.
Sand Dunes

We did it. It's crazy to look back up and know we just climbed to the top. It was a great family hike. The rest of the day we spent relaxing and watching movies.
